Rima Al Mokarrab Al Mheiri serves as Executive Director of Strategic Affairs at the Executive Affairs Authority (EAA), which provides analysis and strategic advisory to the President of the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Over nearly two decades with the EAA, she has contributed to policy development and the delivery of strategic initiatives that support the UAE’s national priorities.

She is also Chair of Tamkeen LLC, which works with leading local and international partners to design and deliver projects that enhance the UAE’s knowledge economy and its social, cultural, and educational landscape.

Ms. Al Mokarrab serves on the boards of multiple UAE and international entities that advance research, education, and innovation. She is Vice Chair of the Board of Zayed University, a Trustee of New York University, a Board Member of Mohamed Bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence, and a Trustee of the Emirates Centre for Strategic Studies and Research. She additionally serves on the Board of the Design Commission Abu Dhabi, which supports the growth of Abu Dhabi’s creative economy and promotes sustainable and socially responsible design practices. She previously served on the founding Board of the UAE Space Agency.

Beyond her institutional leadership roles, Ms. Al Mokarrab is deeply engaged in global knowledge exchange and future-focused problem-solving. She co-founded and co-chairs Ideas Abu Dhabi, a global thought-leadership platform in partnership with the Aspen Institute, and co-founded and co-chairs the Food Tech Challenge, an international programme advancing transformative solutions for sustainable food systems.

Prior to joining the EAA, Ms. Al Mokarrab practiced law at an international law firm in New York. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Harvard University (magna cum laude), a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs, and a Juris Doctor from Columbia University Law School.
