His Excellency Saeed Bin Mubarak Al Hajeri serves as Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates. In this role, he advances the UAE’s global economic agenda and oversees bilateral relations across the Asia-Pacific region. He also serves as the UAE Sherpa to the BRICS Group and as the Foreign Minister’s Special Envoy for Economic Affairs to the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

His Excellency holds several senior leadership roles within the UAE government. Since June 2025, he has served as Chairman of the Emirates Drug Establishment (EDE), guiding national efforts to expand and strengthen the pharmaceutical sector. He is also a committed supporter of education, serving on the boards of Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi, INSEAD Abu Dhabi, and AlephYa Education.

Throughout his distinguished career, His Excellency has contributed extensively to the UAE’s economic and social development. His previous leadership positions include Executive Director and Board Member of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA), Chairman of Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB), Chairman of Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA), Chairman of Salama Islamic Arab Insurance Company, Vice Chairman of Abu Dhabi Investment Company (ADIC), Board Member of Emirates Telecommunication Corporation (Etisalat), Board Member of Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC), Member of the Board of Governors of the CFA Institute, Board Member of Zayed University, and Board Member of the Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination.

In recognition of his service to the UAE’s public and financial sectors, His Excellency was named among the World Economic Forum’s Top 250 Young Global Leaders in 2007.

His Excellency holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Lewis & Clark College and completed the Executive Education Program at Harvard Business School.
