H.E. Nadhim Zahawi

The Rt Hon Nadhim Zahawi is a distinguished business leader and former senior UK government minister with more than three decades of experience across the technology, energy, public-policy, and international-relations sectors. A Chemical Engineer by background, he co-founded YouGov and led its growth from a start-up into a globally recognised market-research company, taking it public on the London Stock Exchange.
In public service, he played a pivotal role in the United Kingdom’s COVID-19 response as Minister for Vaccine Deployment, overseeing one of the world’s fastest and most effective vaccination programmes. He went on to serve in several Cabinet-level positions, including Secretary of State for Education, Chancellor of the Exchequer, and Chairman of the Conservative Party.
In the private sector, Nadhim continues to hold prominent leadership roles. He currently serves as Non-Executive Chairman of The Very Group and Chairman of the Advisory Board at OMNIYAT and Ador Diagnostics Ltd. He is also a Patron of the Adam Smith Institute.
