Dr. Tatiana Karabchuk

Dr. Tatiana Karabchuk is an Associate Professor in the Department of Government and Society at the United Arab Emirates University and a Research Fellow at the Human Capital Research Center. She is a leading scholar in economic sociology, demography, and labour market studies, with extensive experience in comparative social research, population studies, and quality-of-life analysis. Her work is widely recognised for its focus on gender equality, precarious employment, wellbeing, and the social implications of digitisation.
Dr. Karabchuk also serves as Associate Editor of Gender, Work and Organization and is a member of the editorial boards of Social Forces and the Journal of Higher Education Policy and Leadership Studies. She collaborates with international organisations and public sector partners on large-scale research projects related to fertility, social cohesion, and human capital development.
Dr. Karabchuk holds a PhD in Economic Sociology and Demography from the National Research University Higher School of Economics and a postgraduate qualification in Higher Education from the London School of Economics. She has completed advanced professional training in data science, machine learning, in higher education.
Ranked among the top demography scholars in the UAE, she has authored and edited multiple academic books and more than 25 Scopus-indexed publications and is a frequent speaker at major international conferences.
