Youmna Mohammed

Research Assistant

Youmna Mohammed is a graduate from New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) with a bachelor’s in social research and public policy. She has previously held various research positions at NGOs and research institutions including Fiker Institute, Nurai Global, BFA Global, Oxford Business Group, and Finn Church Aid, conducting primary/secondary research and contributing to publications on irregular migration, refugee integration, and public policy. Youmna has also worked with Safe Passage 4 Ukraine, where she contributed to the resettlement of Ukrainian refugees in the United States and Canada.  Her research interests are focused on forced displacement, particularly in relation to international asylum policies, the disparities in the reception of refugees in Western asylum systems, and the humanitarian framework surrounding displaced individuals in Africa and the Middle East.
