Dr Randa Abbas

Senior Lecturer

Dr. Randa Abbas is a Senior Lecturer at the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy and an academic and professional expert in diplomacy and international relations. She specializes in the design and delivery of advanced training programs for diplomats, covering political and news analysis, diplomatic correspondence and reporting, negotiation skills, and tools of communication and influence. She also develops tailored training programs aligned with the specific needs of governmental and official institutions.

Dr. Abbas holds a PhD in Political Science and a number of prestigious professional accreditations. These include certification as an accredited lecturer by the League of Arab States and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in International Humanitarian Law, accreditation as a diplomatic trainer by the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), as well as a professional training certification from the University of Nevada – Middle East.

She previously served as a Senior Researcher at strategic think tanks and research centers, where she contributed to the preparation of strategic analyses, policy studies, and reports submitted to decision-makers, particularly on diplomatic, security, and regional affairs.

Dr. Abbas has a strong academic and research record. Her publications include Diplomatic Correspondence (Second Edition) and Media Diplomacy, in addition to specialized studies on paramilitary alliances and economic reform in the Gulf region. Her forthcoming book, “Political Analysis: From Hypothesis to Policy Recommendation”, is scheduled for release soon.
