Maja Kent
Non-Resident Fellow
Maja Kent leads the Centre’s Climate Change Adaptation and Resilience and Food Security research. She specialises in Nature-based Solutions for climate change adaptation and resilience and climate smart food systems in the Gulf. Recent policy papers written by Maja for AGDA include “The Role of Nature- based Solutions and Innovation in Creating Resilient Food Security in the UAE” and “Incorporating Nature into Climate Action: Charting a Course for the UAE Post-COP28”.
Maja holds a master’s degree in environmental sciences from Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) where she specialised in ecology and evolution. Prior to moving to the UAE, Maja served as a Senior Policy Advisor to the UK government focusing on incorporating natural capital principles and accounting into England’s policy and on matters related to biosecurity.
