Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy and Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research Sign MoU to Foster Knowledge Exchange and Collaboration
The Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy (AGDA), a globally recognised diplomatic centre of excellence in Abu Dhabi, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research (ECSSR) to foster knowledge exchange, share research papers and studies, and establish joint initiatives and events in the fields of training and communication.
The signing ceremony, held at the AGDA headquarters in Abu Dhabi, was attended by senior officials and researchers from both organisations. The agreement was formally signed by H.E. Nickolay Mladenov, Director General of AGDA, and H.E. Dr. Sultan Mohammed Al-Nuaimi, Director General of ECSSR.
This strategic partnership seeks to leverage the institutional expertise of both organisations for a range of collaborative projects, including workshops, visits, expert panel discussions, and research endeavours designed to analyse and comprehend current regional and international challenges.
H.E. Nickolay Mladenov expressed his enthusiasm for the MoU, highlighting that it will provide future diplomats from the Academy, as well as the research and analysis team, with valuable expertise and knowledge from the ECSSR across various domains. He said, "Research centres play a crucial role in nurturing national leaders and honing their skills. We are delighted to collaborate with the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research, an institution that has consistently enriched the political, economic, environmental, and knowledge landscape with valuable research and studies over the past three decades. We look forward to further cooperation and to achieving our shared objectives in the realms of research and strategic analysis."
H.E. Dr. Sultan Mohammed Al-Nuaimi expressed his eagerness to embark on this collaboration, underscoring that the MoU aligns with ongoing efforts to enhance the regional and international standing of the UAE in the field of political research and analysis. He emphasised that this partnership aims to bolster the nation's capabilities in addressing regional and global challenges. Dr. Al Nuaimi said, "We anticipate that this memorandum will make substantial contributions to capacity building and the advancement of scientific research, ultimately playing a significant role in achieving development and prosperity goals through collaborative research projects with the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy in areas of mutual interest."
