Professor Eric Canal Forgues Alter is the Dean of Graduate Programs. He is Professor of International Law and Diplomacy and  affiliate Professor at SciencesPo Paris (Paris School of International Affairs – PSIA) as well as an attorney-at-law (Paris Bar). A former United Nations civil servant and a senior consultant/team leader with various international organisations such as the WTO, the World Bank, IFC, UNDP, UNEP and FAO, Pr. Eric Canal Forgues Alter has been seconded abroad and worked with embassies in an advisory capacity, in particular in Aden, Beirut and Cairo. “Agrégé des Facultés francaises de Droit”, he received his PhD from Paris I Pantheon Sorbonne, is an alumnus from the Institute of Higher International Studies of Paris II Pantheon Assas and has an LLM from Southwestern Law School in Entertainment and Media Law.

Pr. Eric Canal Forgues Alter was a Fulbright scholar at the University of Michigan Law School (Ann Arbor) and a senior research fellow at the University of Georgetown Law School Centre. He is also on the official list of arbitrators at the GICAM (Cameroon). A former Professor of the Law of the Sea at the Indemer (Paris-Monaco), he is on a governmental list of arbitrators in matters of the law of the sea.
