Dr. Rikard Jalkebro was appointed as an Associate Professor at the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy (AGDA) and will be serving on committees and given administrative responsibilities in conjunction with supporting research and teaching duties.

Dr. Jalkebro has many significant experiences prior to his current position at the AGDA, which includes co-directing the MSc in International Development Practice Programme in the University of St. Andrews in Scotland U.K., besides being an Academic Staff Developer, in the Centre for Academic, Professional and Organisational Development (CAPOD) of the same university.

Additionally, he directed the Global Challenges Programme for the School of International Relations at the University of St. Andrews. The Programme is comprised of an annual student competition and professional skills workshops open to any current undergraduate student at the university.

Dr. Jalkebro also held a position as an Associate Lecturer in the School of International Relations at the University of St. Andrews and worked for a brief period as a Sessional Teaching Fellow in the School of International Relations at the University of St. Andrews. Prior to that, during his doctoral studies, Dr. Jalkebro was an Academic Tutor, in the School of International Relations at the University of St. Andrews.

Dr. Jalkebro has a great interest in politics, international relations, peace and conflicts studies and many more related topics, which is reflected in his publications, including articles, books and projects.

Dr. Jalkebro completed his Ph.D., in International Relations, in the school of International Relations at the University of St. Andrews in 2015. Prior to that, he received his MA Degree, in Peace and Conflict Studies, from Uppsala University, in Sweden. Dr Jalkebro also completed an MA in International Relations, from Gothenburg University, in Sweden. Dr. Jalkebro earned his BA in International Relations in the Peace and Development Research Institute at Gothenburg University.
