Dr Muhamad Olimat is a Professor of International Relations and Middle East Politics at  Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy (AGDA). He teaches courses on international security, foreign policy, and regional studies.

His areas of expertise include the Middle East and North Africa, the US foreign policy towards the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), Central Asia and Sino-Greater Middle Eastern relations.

Dr Olimat is the author of five books and several articles, essays and book-chapters on the Middle East, the Middle East’s political economy, and its international relations. His most recent book-chapter on China and the Greater Middle East: From the Silk Road to the BRI, to the Corona Era, will appear in fall of 2020, in The Middle East and North Africa and South Asia.
