UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy (AGDA)
His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan was appointed as Minister of Information and Culture from 1997 until 2006. On 9 February 2006, he was appointed as Minister of Foreign Affairs. Following a Cabinet reshuffle in February 2016, he has become Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation with the additional responsibility of overseeing international aids by the UAE and strengthening international relations.
His Highness Sheikh Abdullah is also Member of the UAE’s National Security Council; Deputy Chairman of the UAE’s Permanent Committee on Borders; Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Foundation for Youth Development; Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development; and Board Member of the National Defence College and the Chairman of the board of trustees of the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy; and Chairman of the Education and Human Resources Council.
His Highness was appointed the Chairman of UAE Football Association, and Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Culture and the Chairman of the National Media Council.
His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan holds a degree in Political Science from UAE University.
