Her Excellency Hend Mana Al Otaiba was appointed as the UAE Ambassador to France in July 2021. Her Excellency Al Otaiba has worked in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation since 2017. She created and led the government body’s first strategic communications department, which promotes the UAE’s foreign policies and interests through the international media and the UAE’s diplomatic missions.
During her tenure at the Ministry, Her Excellency also advised His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, on foreign diplomacy, until 2019.
Her Excellency Al Otaiba formerly worked as the Director of Communications at Abu Dhabi Media Office and also managed the public relations for the cultural programmes at Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority. She played a vital role in promoting Abu Dhabi’s cultural institutions, working alongside French partners to bring the Louvre art gallery to the UAE Capital.
Her Excellency received her Master’s Degrees from Paris Sorbonne Abu Dhabi and the UAE National Defense College. As well as being a member of the Board of Trustees at the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy, Ambassador Al Otaiba is also a fellow of the Middle East Public Relations Association.
