H.E. Youssef Amrani
The ambassador to South Africa
H.E. Amrani, a respected politician in Morocco’s Istiqlal Party, has held many roles within the Moroccan government. He is currently responsible for the Charge De Mission at the Royal Cabinet.
Before acting as Delegate-Minister for Foreign Affairs, Amrani also served as Ambassador and Consul to Columbia, Ecuador, Panama, Chile, Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and Belize. He then joined the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, during which he acted as Ambassador of Bilateral Relations from 2003 to 2008 and Secretary General of the Union for the Mediterranean from 2008 to 2011. He held the position of the Delegate-Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation in the Cabinet of Abdelilah Benkirane in 2012 until 2013.
Amrani graduated with a degree in Economics from Mohammed V University and an MA in Management from the Boston University School of Management.
